Die italienische Melodic-Death-Metal-Band 5RAND wird ihr lang erwartetes drittes Album „Ordhalia“ am 28. November 2025 über Art Gates Records veröffentlichen. Das Album wurde von Marco Mastrobuono (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance) produziert und von Jens Bogren (Kreator, Opeth) gemastert.
„Bloodlife“ ist ein erdrückender Abstieg in das Labyrinth mentaler Neurosen, in dem jeder Atemzug gestohlen und jeder Schatten wie Stein schwer erscheint. Das Lied beschreibt das Leben, wenn Angst und Qual ständige Begleiter werden: Signale des Körpers, die schreien, dass etwas nicht stimmt, uns gleichzeitig aber in einem erschöpfenden Kreislauf gefangen halten. Es ist wie Atmen durch eine Gasmaske: Überleben ist möglich, aber immer mit Kosten verbunden.
Das Musikvideo verwandelt diese Qual in ein viszerales Tableau, in dem Schrecken und Realität aufeinanderprallen. Frontfrau Julia Elenoir wird von einer weiblichen Figur mit Gasmaske eingesperrt und gefoltert, die jene innere Beunruhigung symbolisiert, die sowohl erstickt als auch verzehrt. Es ist nicht nur eine Darstellung, sondern ein wahrer visueller Exorzismus… Roh, filmisch und zutiefst beunruhigend.
Musikalisch explodiert „Bloodlife“ mit unaufhörlichen Riffs, hämmernden Rhythmen und einem Growl, der wie ein begrabener Schrei explodiert, zugleich wild und verzweifelt. 5RAND kanalisiert ihre modernen Metal-Wurzeln in einen Strudel, der sowohl zerstörerisch als auch intim ist: ein Sound, der fesselt, überwältigt und keinen Raum zum Atmen lässt.
Italian melodic death metal band 5RAND will release their long-awaited third album, “Ordhalia”, on November 28th, 2025 via Art Gates Records. The record was produced by Marco Mastrobuono (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance) and mastered by Jens Bogren (Kreator, Opeth).
“Bloodlife” is a suffocating descent into the labyrinth of mental neuroses, where every breath feels stolen and every shadow weighs like stone. The song portrays life when anxiety and anguish become constant companions: signals from the body screaming that something is wrong, yet at the same time trapping us in an exhausting cycle. It is like breathing through a gas mask: survival is possible, but always at a cost.
The music video turns this torment into a visceral tableau where horror and reality collide. Frontwoman Julia Elenoir is imprisoned and tortured by a female figure in a gas mask, symbolizing that inner alarm which both suffocates and consumes. It is not just a representation, but a true visual exorcism… Raw, cinematic and deeply unsettling.
Musically, “Bloodlife” erupts with relentless riffs, hammering rhythms, and a growl that explodes like a buried scream, ferocious and desperate at once. 5RAND channel their modern metal roots into a vortex that is both devastating and intimate: a sound that chains, overwhelms and leaves no room to breathe.
