Nach dem durchschlagenden Erfolg der Debüt-EP „101 North“ kündigt Anthony Family — das neue Projekt von Anthony Anzaldo, der vor allem für seine Arbeit mit Ceremony bekannt ist — ihr erstes vollständiges Album „Live From An Ordinary Place“, das am 1. August 2025 über Pure Noise Records erscheinen wird.

Um die Ankündigung des neuen Albums zu feiern, hat die Anthony Family ein Doppelvideo der neuen Single „Your Dress On Me“ und der bereits veröffentlichten Single „Sex In The Car“ veröffentlicht.

„Your Dress on Me“ folgt, ein Fraktal von Nuancen bezüglich Sex und Geschlecht. Anthony sagte über die Single: „Ich möchte in jedem Raum tanzen. Ich möchte jedes Lied hören, das außerhalb der Linien koloriert. Ich möchte unter jedem Mond feststecken. Ich möchte einen anderen Weg nach Hause nehmen. Ich möchte dein Kleid… an mir sehen.“

Anzaldo betrachtet „Sex im Auto“ als ein Begleitstück zu „Your Dress on Me“ „Ich hatte beide Stücke so lange separat gemacht, geschrieben und in verschiedene Kategorien eingeteilt,“ reflektiert er. „Es war eine so große Freude, als ich endlich diesen Code knacken und herausfinden konnte, dass sie miteinander verbunden sind – klanglich, musikalisch, thematisch.“

Das Album selbst ist etwas, in dem die Anthony-Familie ihre Synästhesie umarmt und jeden Track als Farbe sieht und das Album über ein lebendiges Spektrum beschreibt.

After the breakout success of the debut EP “101 North,” Anthony Family — the new project from Anthony Anzaldo, best known for his work with Ceremony — announces their first full-length album, Live From An Ordinary Place, set for release on 1st August 2025 via Pure Noise Records.

To celebrate the announcement of the new album Anthony Family have released a double video of singles new single „Your Dress On Me“ and previously released single  „Sex In The Car“. 

“Your Dress on Me” follows, a fractal of nuances regarding sex and gender. Speaking about the single Anthony said, „I want to dance in every room. I want to hear every song that colors outside the lines. I want to get stuck under every moon. I want to take a different route home. I want to see your dress… on me.” 

Anzaldo considers “Sex in the Car” to be a companion piece to “Your Dress on Me.” “I had these both done and written and compartmentalised separately for the longest time,” he reflects. “It was such a joy when I was able to finally crack that code and figure out that they were linked — sonically, musically, thematically.”

The album itself is something in which Anthony Family embraces his synaesthesia and can see each track as color and describes the album across a vivid spectrum.
