SOEN kündigen ihr kommendes neues Studioalbum „Reliance“ an, das am 16. Januar über Silver Lining Music erscheinen wird.

Mit „Reliance“, ihrem siebten Studioalbum, setzt die schwedische Progressive-Metal-Powerhouse, geleitet von Joel Ekelöf (Gesang) und Martin Lopez (Schlagzeug), ihren unglaublichen Weg in die räumlichen Bereiche zwischen Licht und Dunkelheit, laut und ruhig, schwer und beruhigend fort. Und mit ihrem nahtlosen Marsch über tief menschliches emotionales Terrain erforscht die Musik von SOEN weiterhin den menschlichen Geist, das Herz und die Seele mit einer visionären Fürsorge und einem zusätzlichen Hauch von Intensität.

Mit Lars Enok Åhlund (Keyboards & Gitarre), Cody Lee Ford (Gitarre) und Stefan Stenberg (Bass), die Schulter an Schulter mit Ekelöf und Lopez stehen, erhebt sich die üppige kontinuierliche Entwicklung des Sounds von SOEN.

Die erste Single, ‚Primal‘, ist ein provokanter, dröhnender Schrei, der den existenziellen Kampf zwischen dem menschlichen Geist und unserer aktuellen Welt detailliert, wobei Ekelöfs unglaubliche Vocals den kraftvollen Vorstoß anführen. Gründungsmitglied und Schlagzeuger Martin Lopez kommentiert: „‘Primal’ ist ein Lied, das aus einem Gefühl der Frustration über die Welt, in der wir leben, entstanden ist. Die Korruption, die Spaltung und der erdrückende Einfluss, den die Technologie auf uns alle hat. Es ist schwer und direkt auf den Punkt gebracht, aufgebaut auf Riffs und roher Energie, aber es öffnet sich auch zu einem Refrain, der hoffnungsvoll wirkt, wie eine Erinnerung daran, dass das Licht immer noch durch die Dunkelheit brechen kann.“

„Für uns geht es um mehr als nur Aggression“, fährt Ekelöf fort. „Es geht darum, die Menschen zu ermutigen, dieses Feuer wieder zu finden, sich mit der Leidenschaft neu zu verbinden und gemeinsam aus der Dunkelheit herauszutreten.“

SOEN announce their forthcoming new studio album Reliance, set for release on January 16^th via Silver Lining Music. 

With Reliance, their seventh studio album, the Swedish progressive metal powerhouse, spearheaded by Joel Ekelöf (vocals) and Martin Lopez (drums), continue to find incredible new pathways into the spatial areas between light and dark, loud and calm, heavy and soothing. And with its seamless march across deeply human emotional terrain, SOEN’s music continues to explore the human mind, heart, and soul with a visionary duty of care, plus an extra edge of heavy.

With Lars Enok Åhlund (keyboards & guitar), Cody Lee Ford (guitar), and Stefan Stenberg (bass) standing shoulder to shoulder with Ekelöf and Lopez, the lush continual evolution of SOEN’s sound soars. The first single, ‘Primal’, released today, is a provoking, barrel-chested roar detailing the existential fight between the human spirit and our current world, with Ekelöf’s incredible vocals leading the heavy charge. 

Founding member and drummer Martin Lopez comments: “Primal’ is a song that came from a place of frustration with the world we’re living in. The corruption, the division and the suffocating grip that technology has on all of us. It’s heavy and straight to the point, built on riffs and raw energy, but it also opens up into a chorus that feels hopeful, like a reminder that light can still break through the dark.”
