Ronnie kommentierte: „Ich muss tatsächlich meinem lieben Freund Russ Ballard danken!! Bevor ich anfing, die Songs zu schreiben, hatte ich die Idee, gemeinsam ein Lied zu machen, um irgendwie die Regenbogenverbindung, die wir haben, zu verknüpfen. Er sagte sofort Ja und schickte eine coole Idee, die schließlich das Lied „Hideaway“ wurde. Von dort an war es so einfach, sich für die restlichen Lieder inspirieren zu lassen.“

„Also, das Lied, das wir mit meinem lieben Roy Z gemacht haben, und natürlich das großartige Gitarrensolo von einem unserer Helden Kee Marcello für das Lied mit Russ… Es ist so einfach, Musik zu schreiben, wenn man von so großartigen Menschen umgeben ist!“, fügte er hinzu.

Romero fuhr fort: „Nichts wäre möglich gewesen ohne die Hilfe meines Freundes Jose Rubio, im Songwriting-Prozess und der wunderbaren Arbeit, die er geleistet hat, um den kraftvollen Klang durch das gesamte Album zu bringen, da er sich um das Mischen und Mastering gekümmert hat. Ich glaube wirklich, dass es eine wichtige Verbesserung zum vorherigen Album ist. Ich hoffe, ihr werdet dieses hier mögen!! Wir sind sehr stolz auf das, was wir mit Backbone erreicht haben.“

Legendary singer Ronnie Romero isexcitedtoannounce the release of his new Soloalbum, “Backbone”, out on October24, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.

To celebrate, Ronnie shares the first single and official video, the title track, marking his triumphant return after the recent release of “Live At Rock Imperium Festival” last May.

Ronnie commented: “I actually have to thank my dear friend Russ Ballard!! Before I started writing the songs, I had this idea to make a song together, to link somehow the Rainbow connection we have. He immediately said yes and sent a cool idea which ended up being the song“Hideaway”. From there it was so easy to get inspired for the rest of the songs”.

“Also, the song we did with my dear Roy Z, and of course the amazing guitar solo of one of our heroes Kee Marcello for the song with Russ…It’s so easy to write music when you are surrounded by such great people!”,he added.

Romero continued: “Nothing would be possible without the help of my friend Jose Rubio, in the songwriting process and the wonderful job he did to get the powerful sound through all the album, since he took care of the mixing and mastering. I really believe it’s an important improvement from the previous album. I hope you all gonna like this one!! We feel very proud of what we achieved with “Backbone”.
