Nameless Grave Records heißt die überwältigende neue, in Edmonton ansässige Band Anthrodynia im Label willkommen zur Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbums „Unspeakable Horrors Emanating From Within“ im August.
Mit dem Anstieg der Grausamkeit und Kleinlichkeit in der Menschheit hat sich ein permanenter Erschöpfungszustand eingestellt. Diese Worte definieren und prägen den Klang von Anthrodynia, dem Namensgeber der neu gegründeten Death/Doom-Band. Das Duo bestehend aus Derek Orthner (Begrime Exemious) und Durell Smith (ex-Mahria, ex-Kuroi Jukai) entstand aus ihrer Liebe zur Vielfalt der Klänge, die die beiden Genres abdecken.
Anthrodynia präsentiert nun ihr Debütalbum „Unspeakable Horrors Emanating From Within“, dessen fünf erschreckenden Tracks den Hörer mit fast vierzig Minuten düsterem, brutalisierendem, eisigem Death Metal und morbiden Auren ersticken. Inspiriert von Größen wie Disembowelment, Incantation, Spectral Voice und Grief, kombinieren sie hektischen Death Metal mit düsteren Doom-Abschnitten. Ätherisches Leadspiel drängt den Sound von Anthrodynia weiter in die Tiefen der Dunkelheit.
„Unspeakable Horrors Emanating From Within“ wurde von Derek Orthner aufgenommen, gemischt und produziert, von Brad Boatright bei Audiosiege gemastert und mit Artwork und Logo von Karmazid, Fotografie von Circle Of Bones und Layout von Derek Orthner abgeschlossen.

As the behavior of mankind increases in cruelty and pettiness, a permanent state of exhaustion has taken its hold. These words define and inform the sound of ANTHRODYNIA, the namesake of the newly formed death/doom band. The duo of Derek Orthner (Begrime Exemious) and Durell Smith (ex-Mahria, ex-Kuroi Jukai) formed out of their love for the variety of sounds the two genres cover.
ANTHRODYNIA now presents their debut album, Unspeakable Horrors Emanating From Within, its five harrowing tracks suffocating the listener with nearly forty minutes of dismal, brutalizing, glacial death metal and morbid auras. Taking influence from the likes of Disembowelment, Incantation, Spectral Voice, and Grief, they combine frantic death metal with dismal doom sections. Ethereal lead work pushes ANTHRODYNIA’s sound further into the depths of darkness.
Unspeakable Horrors Emanating From Within was recorded, mixed, and produced by Derek Orthner, mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, and completed with Artwork and logo by Karmazid, photography by Circle Of Bones, and layout by Derek Orthner.
The album’s punishing opening song, „Severed From Mundanity,“ serves as its first single. The band states, “‘Severed from Mundanity’ is the opening track of Unspeakable Horrors Emanating From Within and is also the first song we wrote as ANTHRODYNIA. It’s a great representation of what we’re about as a band: contrasting doom sections with blistering death metal parts, with extra layers of both clean and effect-laden guitars to really push forth the desolate sounds we seek.“
