Greyhaven – Brent Mills (Gesang), Nick Spencer (Gitarre), Johnny Muench (Bass) und Ethan Spray (Schlagzeug) – haben ihr neues Album „Keep It Quiet“ angekündigt, das von Will Putney produziert wurde und am 10. Oktober über Solid State veröffentlicht wird.
Die Band folgt der Albumankündigung mit der Veröffentlichung des Videos zur ersten Single „Burn a Miracle“. Und es ist ein Hit, der in vier Minuten scheinbar tausend verschiedene Tempi und Stimmungen durchläuft. Ruckartige, kantige Riffs leben neben eingängigen Refrains, blutdürstigen Schreien und kampfbereiten Breakdowns.
„Gute Kunst ist verletzlich“, sagt Mills, „und ich fühlte mich wie ein offenes Buch auf diesem neuen Album. Aber das ist eine beängstigende Sache und ich habe viel damit gekämpft, wie sehr ich mich öffnen wollte, und genau darum geht es in diesem Lied. Ich wollte mich verstecken und in Abstraktheit vergraben, aber so wollte dieses Album nicht präsentiert werden. Dieses Lied ist im Grunde genommen mein Eingeständnis und das Sagen: ‚Hier bin ich, hier ist meine Wahrheit, nimm sie oder lass sie.‘ Es gibt nichts Befriedigenderes, als dass deine Kunst andere Pläne für dich hat. Es hält dich und deine Musik ehrlich.“

GREYHAVEN -Brent Mills (vocals), Nick Spencer (guitar), Johnny Muench (bass), and Ethan Spray (drums) – have announced their new album, „Keep It Quiet„, produced by Will Putney and out on October 10th via Solid State.
The band follows the album announcement with the release of the video for first single „Burn a Miracle“. And it’s a rager that cycles through what feels like a thousand different paces and moods in the space four minutes. Choppy, angular riffs live alongside gets-stuck-in-your-head choruses, bloodthirsty screams, and battle-ready breakdowns.
„Good art is vulnerable“ states Mills „And I felt like an open book on this new record. But that’s a scary thing and I wrestled a lot with how much I was opening myself up, and that’s exactly what this song is about. I wanted to hide and bury myself in abstractness but that’s not how this record wanted to be presented. This song is basically me recognizing that and saying, ‚Here I am, here’s my truth, take it or leave it‘. There’s nothing more satisfying than your art having other plans for you. It keeps you and your music honest“.
