Testimony Records kündigt stolz das zweite Album der deutsch-schwedischen Death Metaller Leper Colony mit dem Titel „Those Of The Morbid“ an, das am 11. April 2025 auf CD, LP und in digitaler Version erscheinen wird.

Die aktuellen Mitglieder von Leper Colony einem Death-Metal-Kenner vorzustellen, der etwas auf sich hält, wäre so, als würde man Kohlen nach Newcastle tragen. Für den Fall der Fälle, der deutsche Sänger Marc Crewe hat sich als ehemaliger Frontmann von MORGOTH, später mit INSIDIOUS DISEASE sowie mit der Band ASINHELL längst einen Namen gemacht. Gitarrist und Bassist Rogga Johansson hat dem schwedischen Death Metal in einer Vielzahl von Bands wie PAGANIZER, RIBSPREADER und REVOLTING massiv seinen Stempel aufgedrückt. WOMBBATH-Gitarrist Håkan Stuvemark hat die Leadgitarre übernommen und wurde als neues Mitglied vom britischen Schlagzeuger Jon Rudin unterstützt, der unter anderem von MONSTROUS und DEAD SUN bekannt ist.

Gitarrist Rogga Johansson kommentiert: „Dies ist der Opener des Albums und ein persönlicher Favorit, da er den Ton für das gesamte Album und seinen Sound angibt. Wenn du mittelschnellen, voll riffbasierten, alten und dreckigen Death Metal mit geilen Vocals magst, ist dies genau das, wonach du dich sehnst. Testimony Records proudly announces the second album of German/Swedish Death Metallers LEPER COLONY, entitled „Those Of The Morbid“, set for release on April 11th 2025 on CD, LP and in digital versions.

To introduce the current members of LEPER COLONY to any self-respecting death metal connoisseur would be like carrying coals to Newcastle. Just in case, German vocalist Marc Crewe has long-established his name as the former frontman of MORGOTH, and later with INSIDIOUS DISEASE as well as with the band ASINHELL. Guitarist and bass player Rogga Johansson has left a massive mark on Swedish death metal in a host of bands including PAGANIZER, RIBSPREADER, and REVOLTING. WOMBBATH guitarist Håkan Stuvemark has taken over lead guitar and he was joined as a new member by British drummer Jon Rudin, who is well-known from MONSTROUS and DEAD SUN among several other death metal acts.

Guitarist Rogga Johansson comments: „This is the opener of the album and a personal fave as well as it sets the tone for the whole album and its sound. If you like mid-paced, full on riff-based, old and dirty death metal with awesome vocals, this is just what you crave for.
