Dark Solstice, eine neue Dark-Metal-Band aus München, veröffentlicht am 23. Mai 2025 ihre Debüt-EP „Where Black Stars Beckon“. Vor der vollständigen Veröffentlichung hatte die Band am 28. März die Lead-Single „Where Black Stars Beckon“ veröffentlichen, die einen Einblick in ihren düsteren und intensiven Sound bietet.
„Where Black Stars Beckon“ fängt die Essenz des Sounds von Dark Solstice ein, eine Verschmelzung von zermalmenden Riffs, eindringlichen Melodien und düsteren, atmosphärischen Tönen. Die Band schöpft aus Einflüssen wie Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth und Dark Funeral und verbindet Old-School-Extreme-Metal-Elemente mit einer frischen Perspektive. Die Produktion, die von Gitarrist und Songwriter Michael Woess von Omega Music Production übernommen wurde, liefert einen ausgefeilten, aber aggressiven Sound, der die künstlerische Identität der Band widerspiegelt.
