Metal Blade Records ist stolz darauf, die australische Tech-Metal-Band Psycroptic im Roster willkommen zu heißen. Anlässlich dieses Ereignisses hat die Band ein brandneues Video für ihre neueste Single „Architects of Extinction“ veröffentlicht. Australien ist die Heimat unzähliger Death-Metal-Bands. Nur wenige schaffen es über diese Küsten hinaus und noch weniger genießen globalen Respekt. Von denen hat nur eine diese Position über volle 25 Jahre gehalten: Australiens Beste, Tasmaniens Stolz und Freude, Psycroptic.
Wenn die Geschichte des technischen Metals in den kommenden Jahren betrachtet wird, werden die Bücher zeigen, dass Psycroptic für einen erheblichen Teil des Genres verantwortlich sind. Die Band trat Ende der 90er Jahre in den tiefsten Untergrund ein und zog dann die Metal-Szene durch schiere Erschöpfung näher zu dem, was sie tun. Ihre Musik führt dich durch die dichtesten Riff-Dschungel, bevor sie mit kraftvollen rhythmischen Grooves und Blast-Beats klar aufbricht, verankert durch die außergewöhnlich talentierten Brüder Haley.

Few make their way beyond these shores, and fewer still garner global respect. Out of those, only one has maintained that position for a full 25 years: Australia’s finest, Tasmania’s pride and joy, PSYCROPTIC.
When the history of technical metal is viewed in years to come, the books will come to show that PSYCROPTIC are responsible for a hefty slice of the genre. The band blasted into the deepest underground in the late 90s, then proceeded to drag the metal scene closer to what they do by sheer attrition. Their music guides you through the densest of riff jungles before bursting into the clear with powerfully rhythmic grooves and blasts, anchored by the profoundly talented Haley brothers.
