Neues aus dem Hause: The Apulian Blues Foundation
Von den Dünen von Maspalomas auf Gran Canaria bis zu den trockenen Landschaften Süditaliens kommt der einzigartige Klang der The Apulian Blues Foundation — ein Treffpunkt zwischen den Wurzeln des afrikanischen Blues und dem säurehaltigen, monolithischen Rock von Apulien. Die Idee hinter dem Projekt fängt die Essenz des Delta-Blues ein und verbindet sie mit der urtümlichen Kraft des Stoner Rocks, woraus entsteht, was die Band als „Delta Stoner“ bezeichnet.
Gegründet im Jahr 2015 begann die Band ihre Reise mit der selbst produzierten EP „Vol.1“, aufgenommen und abgemischt vom Barier Toningenieur Andrea Dinapoli. Nach Jahren intensiver Live-Aktivitäten — Auftritte beim Waves of Doom Fest, Freak Out Stoned Fest, Zolla Fest, Promontorio Music Fest, Rock in Lama und gemeinsamen Bühnenauftritten mit namhaften nationalen und internationalen Künstlern — ist die Band nun bereit, ihr erstes vollständiges Album zu präsentieren.
Ihr neues Album „Traditional Songs About Life, Death and Rebirth“ wird am 21. November 2025 über Zann’s Records veröffentlicht. Das Album, das aus acht Titeln besteht, zollt sowohl dem Blues der frühen 20. Jahrhunderts als auch dem rauen, lysergischen Stoner-Rock der 1990er Jahre Tribut und interpretiert die Verse und Klänge der Vergangenheit durch eine moderne, rohe und punkgetriebene Perspektive neu.
Aufgenommen und gemischt im REH Studio innerhalb des MAT Laboratorio Urbano in Terlizzi (BA) von Dario Tatoli und gemastert von Claudio Gruer (Nick Oliveri, Yawning Man, Brant Bjork) im Pisi Studio in Rom, markiert das Album einen wichtigen Fortschritt für die Band und festigt einen Sound, der sowohl persönlich als auch sofort wiedererkennbar ist.

From the dunes of Maspalomas, Gran Canaria, to the arid lands of Southern Italy, comes the unique sound of THE APULIAN BLUES FOUNDATION — a meeting point between the roots of African blues and the acid, monolithic rock of Puglia. The idea behind the project captures the essence of Delta blues and merges it with the primal power of stoner rock, giving birth to what the band defines as “delta stoner.”
Formed in 2015, the band began their journey with the self-produced EP “Vol.1,” recorded and mixed by Bari-based sound engineer Andrea Dinapoli. After years of intense live activity — performing at Waves of Doom Fest, Freak Out Stoned Fest, Zolla Fest, Promontorio Music Fest, Rock in Lama, and sharing the stage with notable national and international acts — the band is now ready to present their first full-length album.
Their new record, “Traditional Songs About Life, Death and Rebirth,” will be released on November 21, 2025 via Zann’s Records. Comprising eight tracks, the album pays homage to both early 20th-century blues and the gritty, lysergic stoner rock of the 1990s, reinterpreting the verses and sounds of the past through a modern, raw and punk-driven lens.
