Neues aus dem Hause: Warcoe
Das in Italien ansässige klassische Doom-Trio Warcoe hat bei Ripple Music unterschrieben, um am 26. September ihr drittes Album „Upon Tall Thrones“ zu veröffentlichen.
Stammend aus Pesaro, Italien, zieht Warcoe klassischen Doom in den Abgrund und zurück mit sabbathischer Schwere, dem rohen Grauen von Saint Vitus und dem Schwung der Riffs aus der Goldära von Trouble. Seit 2021 hat das Trio sich im Underground einen Nischenplatz geschaffen mit einem Sound, der sowohl eine Hommage an die alten Götter ist als auch eine eigene frische Hölle: langsam brennend, groove-lastig und durchzogen von dem Gift des Stoner-Metals.
Ihr Debüt im Jahr 2021, „The Giant’s Dream“, entstand wie ein Monolith aus den Tiefen und erhielt Lob in der Szene, bevor Regain Records es auf Vinyl und CD veröffentlichte – eine angemessene Wiederauferstehung für ein Album, das in der uralten Essenz des Doom verwurzelt ist. Der Nachfolger von 2023, „A Place for Demons“, bewies, dass Warcoe nicht nur eine Relikt-Wiederbelebungsband war, sondern eine wahre Kraft, mit der man rechnen musste. Mit Platz #2 in den Doom Charts für das Beste im Dezember und Platz #37 für das gesamte Jahr meisterte das Album die Verschmelzung der hymnenhaften Kraft von Trouble mit der sich anschleichenden Angst von Pentagram, während es wie Saxon in einer kerzenbeleuchteten Krypta schwang.
Jetzt, mit ihrem dritten Album und dem Debüt bei Ripple Music „Upon Tall Thrones“, erhebt sich Warcoe – dunkler, schwerer und hypnotischer – während sie Geschichten von arcane Fantasie und menschlicher Zerbrechlichkeit in Riffs verweben, die zertrümmern und Melodien, die wie ein Fluch verweilen.

Italy-based classic doom trio WARCOE have signed to Ripple Music for the release of their third full-length, „Upon Tall Thrones“ this September 26th.
Hailing from Pesaro, Italy, Warcoe drags classic doom into the abyss and back with Sabbathian weight, Saint Vitus’ raw gloom, and the swagger of Trouble’s golden-era riffage. Since 2021, the trio has carved a niche in the underground with a sound that’s both a homage to the old gods and a fresh hell of its own: slow-burning, groove-heavy, and laced with stoner metal venom.
Their 2021 debut, „The Giant’s Dream“, emerged like a monolith from the depths, earning praise within the scene before Regain Records unleashed it on vinyl and CD — a fitting resurrection for an album steeped in doom’s primordial essence. The 2023 follow-up, „A Place for Demons“, proved Warcoe wasn’t just a relic revival act but a true force to be reckoned with.
