Gitarrist Jaakko Hautamäki kommentiert: „Niko schlug Joni freundlicherweise vor dass wir einen „pumping song“ haben sollten, damit es auf der Bühne nicht kalt wird. Ich schaute auf mein Handy, um zu sehen, was es damit auf sich hatte. Joni hatte den Song geschrieben und Niko schrieb sofort den Text dazu. Pepe durfte das Schlagzeug so aufnehmen, wie er es wollte, solange es zu Jonis Demotracks passte, die die Maus gemacht hatte. Ich versuchte, mich an dem Projekt zu beteiligen, indem ich dem Song massive Synthesizerabschnitte hinzufügte. Am Ende war nur noch einer übrig, aber ich musste etwas tun. Töle hatte sich schon seit Jahren beschwert, dass die Songs etwas anspruchsvoller sein könnten. Joni lenkte ein und fügte dem Song gleich zwei Bass-Soli hinzu. Auch Niko überraschte alle mit seiner Freundlichkeit, indem er Töle eine rekordverdächtige Menge an Backing Vocals gab, von denen einige sogar Soloparts waren. So, das war’s, und die Hauptsache ist, dass der Bassist jetzt etwas hat, was ihm bei Auftritten Spaß macht.“

Finnish blackened death metal band Progeny of Sun is set to release the second studio album ‚Prophets of the Void‘ on September 5th 2025 via Inverse Records. The second single ‚Decimation‘ is out.

Guitarist Jaakko Hautamäki comments:  „Niko kindly suggested to Joni that we should have a „pumping song“ so it wouldn’t get cold on stage. I looked at my phone to see what the hell this was about. Joni had written the song and Niko immediately wrote the lyrics. Pepe was allowed to record the drums exactly as he wanted, as long as they matched Joni’s demo tracks made by mouse. I tried to participate in the project by adding massive synth sections to the song. In the end there was only one left, but I had to do something. Töle had been complaining for years that the songs could be a bit more challenging. Joni relented and immediately added two bass solos to the song. Niko also surprised everyone with his kindness by giving Töle a record amount of backing vocals, some of which were even solo parts. So there you have it, and the main thing is that the bassist now has something fun to do at gigs.“
