Die aufstrebende Pop-Punk-Band Unwell aus Detroit hat ihr kommendes Album „Allegoria“ angekündigt, das am 7. November veröffentlicht wird. Kürzlich bei Pure Noise Records unter Vertrag genommen, vereint das dynamische Quartet Alternative Rock, Pop-Punk und energiegeladenen Hardcore zu einem emotional aufgeladenen Album, das die Genre-Normen überschreitet und neue Wege beschreitet.
Zum neuen Album sagt der Sänger Matt Copley: „“Allegoria“ ist eine Welt voller Symbole – eine Sammlung von Geschichten, in der jedes Lied seine eigene Parabel darstellt. Wir wollten, dass sich dieses Album anfühlt wie das Eintauchen in einen mittelalterlichen Wandteppich, der mit modernen Wunden verwoben ist: Liebe, Verlust, Macht, Sucht und die Suche nach Erlösung. Jeder Track ist ein eigenes Relikt, gekleidet in vintage Töne und alte Sprache, aber voller Emotionen, die bis heute bluten. Es ist nicht nur ein Album – es ist eine lebendige Anthologie.“
Copley fügt zum neuen Song hinzu: „‚Miracle‘ handelt von der stillen Verzweiflung, geliebt zu werden. Es ist ein Flehen nach Nähe – dass jemand nur ein wenig länger bleibt, nicht weil er muss, sondern weil er will. Es ist verletzlich, an manchen Stellen kalt, aber auch in Wärme gehüllt. Im Kern geht es darum, wie es sich anfühlen kann, gewollt zu werden, das allein kann wie ein Wunder sein.“

Rising Detroit pop-punk band UNWELL has announced their upcoming album, Allegoria, will be released on November 7th. Recently signed to Pure Noise Records, the thriving four-piece melds alt-rock. pop-punk and high energy hardcore for an emotionally charged record that transcends genre norms and blazes new trails.
Commenting on the new record, vocalist Matt Copley says: “Allegoria is a world of symbols—a collection of stories where each song stands as its own parable. We wanted this album to feel like stepping into a medieval tapestry woven with modern wounds: love, loss, power, addiction, and the search for redemption. Every track is its own relic, dressed in vintage tones and ancient language, but carrying emotions that are still bleeding today. It’s not just an album—it’s a living anthology.”
Copley adds about the new single: „‚Miracle’ is about the quiet desperation of wanting to be loved. It’s a plea for closeness—for someone to stay just a little longer, not because they have to, but because they want to. It’s vulnerable, cold in places, but wrapped in warmth too. At its core, it’s about how being wanted can feel like a miracle all on its own.”
UNWELL’s music speaks equally to the barricade and the back row, balancing crushing emotion and buoyant theatricality – all rooted in a DIY ethos befitting of their Rust Belt hometown.
