Die Detroit Pop-Punk-Band Unwell hat die zweite Single „Throne of Velvet Roses“ aus ihrem kommenden Album „Allegoria“, das am 7. November erscheint, veröffentlicht.

Der Sänger Matt Copley kommentiert die neue Single: „Dieses Lied handelt von der Art von Liebe, die königlich erscheint – erhaben, berauschend – aber mit Dornen verbunden ist. ‚Throne of Velvet Roses‘ ist eine Reflexion über Schönheit und Fragilität, die nebeneinander leben. Es geht darum, sich zu entscheiden zu bleiben, selbst wenn die Liebe wehtut, denn einige Verbindungen sind zu selten, um sie loszulassen. Selbst im Schatten blüht sie weiter.„

Kürzlich bei Pure Noise Records unter Vertrag genommen, kombiniert die aufstrebende vierköpfige Band Alt-Rock, Pop-Punk und energiegeladenen Hardcore für ein emotional aufgeladenes Album, das Genre-Normen überschreitet und neue Wege beschreitet.

Zur Kommentierung des neuen Albums fügt Copley hinzu: „„Allegoria“ ist eine Welt der Symbole—eine Sammlung von Geschichten, in der jeder Song als eigene Parabel steht. Wir wollten, dass sich dieses Album anfühlt wie das Betreten eines mittelalterlichen Wandteppichs, der mit modernen Wunden gewebt ist: Liebe, Verlust, Macht, Sucht und die Suche nach Erlösung. Jeder Track ist ein eigenes Relikt, gekleidet in Vintage-Tönen und altertümlicher Sprache, aber mit Emotionen, die heute noch bluten. Es ist nicht nur ein Album—es ist eine lebendige Anthologie.“

Detroit pop-punk band UNWELL has revealed the second single, „Throne of Velvet Roses,“ from their upcoming album, Allegoria, that’s out November 7th. 

Commenting on the new single, vocalist Matt Copley says:  “This song is about the kind of love that feels royal—elevated, intoxicating—but comes with thorns. ‘Throne of Velvet Roses’ is a reflection on beauty and fragility living side by side. It’s about choosing to stay, even when love hurts, because some connections are too rare to let go. Even in the shadows, it still blooms.”

Recently signed to Pure Noise Records, the thriving four-piece melds alt-rock. pop-punk and high energy hardcore for an emotionally charged record that transcends genre norms and blazes new trails. 

Commenting on the new record, Copley adds: “Allegoria is a world of symbols—a collection of stories where each song stands as its own parable. We wanted this album to feel like stepping into a medieval tapestry woven with modern wounds: love, loss, power, addiction, and the search for redemption. Every track is its own relic, dressed in vintage tones and ancient language, but carrying emotions that are still bleeding today. It’s not just an album—it’s a living anthology.”
