Arkona aus „Summer Rituals“ Tour
Nach der von der Kritik gefeierten Veröffentlichung ihres apokalyptischen Konzeptalbums Kob’ (2023) kehren die pagan folk metal Visionäre Arkona mit einer faszinierenden neuen Single, „Cectpa“ (Deutsch: Schwester), zurück. Der Track enthüllt eine dunklere, introspektivere Seite und beschwört eine eindringliche Atmosphäre durch feierliche Orgelmelodien, doom-angehauchte Riffs und die ätherische Stimme der Frontfrau Masha Scream. Begleitet von einem offiziellen Musikvideo erzählt „Cectpa“ eine emotionale Geschichte von innerem Schmerz und spiritueller Erleuchtung, und setzt die Tradition von Arkona fort, folkloristische Mystik mit der rohen Intensität des Metals zu verbinden.
Nach einem erfolgreichen Jahr 2023, das eine Tour mit den Labelkollegen Patriarkh (ehemals Batushka) und einen gut aufgenommenen Auftritt beim Summer Breeze Open Air 2024 umfasste, begibt sich Arkona jetzt auf ihre „Summer Rituals“-Tour durch Europa. Von intimen Locations bis hin zu großen Festivalbühnen bringt die Band weiterhin ihre intensive Mischung aus slawischer Pagankultur, blackened Metal und theatralischer Darbietung zu treuen Zuschauern. Mit über zwei Jahrzehnten der Evolution hinter sich bleibt Arkona eine kraftvolle Kraft – wild, emotional und spirituell resonant.
Arkona über die neue Single „Cectpa“: „Der Song ‚Cectpa‘ (Schwester) ist eine Single, die nicht auf einem Album ist und spontan von Maria speziell für die Schülerin geschrieben wurde, die bei ihr Gesangstechniken lernt. Konzeptuell handelt der Song von der tiefen mentalen Qual eines Menschen, der kurz davor steht, mit Hilfe des Feuers ins Vergessen zu geraten, das den erschöpften Körper von innen heraus auffrisst. Sestra ist die Qual, die als Zwillingsschwester fungiert, die Personifizierung ihres eigenen inneren psychischen Leidens, und die Heldin des Songs führt einen Dialog mit ihr und sagt letztendlich Abschied, als der Tod die Heldin schließlich in seine Arme schließt.
Das Cover Artwork, erstellt von den Künstlern Rotten Fantom, spiegelt das Konzept des Songs vollständig wider und visualisiert dessen Inhalt in dunklen philosophischen Tönen.
Die musikalische Begleitung ist äußerst Doom-Metal, die eng die melodische Linie und die Volkschorstimmen des traditionellen Arkona widerspiegelt. Es wird empfohlen für diejenigen, die Songs wie ‚Strela‘, ‚Oh, Pechal‘-Toska‘, ‚Zimushka‘ mochten.“

ARKONA about the new single “Cectpa”: “The song ‘Cectpa’ (Sister) is a non-album single, which was spontaneously written by Maria specifically for the student who is learning vocal skills from her.
Conceptually, the song tells about the deep mental anguish of a person who is on the verge of going into oblivion with the help of fire, which is eating away at the exhausted body from the inside. Sestra is the anguish which acts as a twin sister, the personification of her own internal mental suffering, and the heroine of the song has a dialogue with her, and ultimately says goodbye to her when death finally captures the heroine in its arms.
The single cover artwork, created by the artists Rotten Fantom, fully reflects the concept of the song, visualizing its content in dark philosophical tones.
The musical accompaniment is extraordinarily doom metal, closely echoing the melodic line and folk choral voices of traditional Arkona. It’s recommended for those who loved the songs such as ‘Strela’, ‘Oh, Pechal‘-Toska’, ‘Zimushka’.”
