Neu bei Peaceville: Blindead 23
„Gute Dinge kommen zu denen, die warten! Es hat vielleicht eine Weile gedauert, aber der Aufwand war es wert. Nach zwei Jahren harter Arbeit sind wir sehr stolz, ankündigen zu können, dass wir einen weltweiten Plattenvertrag mit den legendären Peaceville Records & Mystic Production unterzeichnet haben. Beide Labels werden ihre Kräfte bündeln, um unser bevorstehendes Full-Length-Album zu Beginn von 2026 zu veröffentlichen.“
Das neue Album – eine 53-minütige konzeptionelle Reise – wurde im Frühjahr 2023 von David Castillo (Opeth, Carcass, Katatonia, Leprous) im Studio Gröndahl in Stockholm aufgenommen und produziert. Für das Mischen und Mastern ist Kuba Mańkowski zuständig, ein langjähriger Kollaborateur, dessen frühere Arbeit mit der Band dazu beigetragen hat, ihren charakteristischen Sound zu formen.
„Dem Künstlerkatalog von Peaceville Records beizutreten, ist etwas, wonach wir als Gruppe streben, seit wir in der zweiten Hälfte der 1990er Jahre angefangen haben, in Bands zu spielen“, fährt die Band fort. „Wir sind mit vielen der klassischen Alben aufgewachsen, die auf dem Label veröffentlicht wurden. Daher sind wir natürlich sehr aufgeregt und freuen uns sehr auf das, was die Zukunft bringt!“
Der Peaceville-Manager Paul Groundwell fügt hinzu: „Ein wohlverdienter wachsender Name in den Prog-Metal-Kreisen in letzter Zeit, und mit viel mehr, das kommen wird, ist es eine Freude für Peaceville, die Früchte der akribischen kreativen Arbeit von Blindead23 Anfang nächsten Jahres zu veröffentlichen. Bleibt dran.“

Both labels will join forces to release our upcoming full-length album at the beginning of 2026.”
The new album – a 53-minute conceptual journey – was recorded and produced by David Castillo ( Opeth, Carcass, Katatonia, Leprous) at Studio Gröndahl in Stockholm in the spring of 2023. Mixing and mastering duties are being handled by Kuba Mańkowski, a longtime collaborator whose previous work with the band has helped shape their signature sound.
“Joining the artist roster for Peaceville Records is something we as a group have aspired to since we began playing in bands in the second half of the 1990s,” the band continues. “We grew up listening to many of the classic albums released on the label. So we are naturally very excited and very much looking forward to what the future holds!”
