Heftig, kompromisslos und direkt aus dem Stahlherz des klassischen Thrash geschnitzt – Bastard Skull hat offiziell einen Vertrag mit WormHoleDeath unterzeichnet, was den Anfang eines neuen Kapitels für das an der Ostküste ansässige Metal-Ungeheuer markiert.
Das selbstbetitelte Debütalbum der Band, ‚Bastard Skull‘, wird als Deluxe-Physik-CD-Edition veröffentlicht, die drei Tracks aus der ‚More Dread‘ EP enthält. Klassische Thrash-Puristen und neue Fans können auch das digitale Streaming mit eigenständigen Veröffentlichungen erleben:

Geboren aus einer zufälligen Wiederbegegnung bei einem Mercyful Fate-Konzert in Brooklyn am 13. November 2022, vereint Bastard Skull eine Truppe erfahrener Veteranen mit tiefen Wurzeln im Thrash-Underground. Der spontane Funke zwischen John Blicharz (Annunanki, Blood Feast, Dusk) und Tom Lorenzo (Blood Feast, Without End) zündete die Zündung. Kurz darauf stießen George Kostadimas und Mark Mari (Sneak Attack) hinzu, und Bastard Skull bildete sich wie eine klangliche Supernova, angetrieben von jahrzehntelanger reiner Metal-Instinkt.
Die Band nahm sowohl die LP als auch die EP bei Band Mother Recording auf, und keiner Geringeren als Michael Sabatini (Attacker) hinter dem Mischpult. Der letzte Mastering-Schliff wurde von dem legendären Ingenieur Alan Douches (West West Side Music) beigesteuert, dessen Lebenslauf wie eine Metallhallen der Ruhmes liest: Aerosmith, Obituary, Nile, The Ramones, Dying Fetus und mehr.

The band’s self-titled debut album, ‘Bastard Skull,’ will be unleashed as a deluxe physical CD edition including three tracks from the ‘More Dread’ EP. Classic thrash purists and new fans alike can also experience digital streaming with standalone releases:

Born from a chance reunion at a Mercyful Fate show in Brooklyn on November 13, 2022, Bastard Skull unites a crew of seasoned veterans with deep roots in the thrash underground. The spontaneous spark between John Blicharz (Annunanki, Blood Feast, Dusk) and Tom Lorenzo (Blood Feast, Without End) lit the fuse. Joined shortly after by George Kostadimas and Mark Mari (Sneak Attack), Bastard Skull formed like a sonic supernova, driven by decades of pure metal instinct.
The band tracked both the LP and EP at Band Mother Recording with none other than Michael Sabatini (Attacker) behind the board.
